Bbbbrrrrrr it was cold going to the pool, here is a little video, though the sound is crappy whoops lol.


I only did aqua jogging today, as my wrist was playing up pretty bad last night, and didn't want to aggravate it any further. 

Am not going swimming or the gym tomorrow, as I got my hair done and cant wash it for 24 hours, so a day off tomorrow, so it will be housework day. I love love my new hair colour :). So tomorrow I need to go and purchase a swimming cap, so the chlorine doesn't rip out the colour. On Friday I am going to also give aqua aerobics a go, so will do some aqua jogging first then aqua aerobics.

Also weigh in will be tomorrow or Friday as it is the end of the month and my offical weigh ins are at the end of or the beginning of the month.

Another swim done, and I did 2k's again as well as aqua jogging. Felt much better today, even if it was only 2 degrees when I left the house to go swimming..... Oh when I had 20 lengths to go, this dude just crashed into me, he was sharing my lane, but I didn't know he was in there and we had a crash gggggrrrrrrrr. Most people will wait at the end and ask to share your lane, and you both decide if you want a side each or go up the left side and down the right, but not this dick. Lucky after 2 lengths the lane next to me came free and I swapped over. 




Tomorrow is hair day, and I am still undecided on what to do. Do I go darker or do I stay blonde..... scary stuff, also deciding if I might have a fringe and start growing my hair out towards a bob cut, cause then even just by wrapping a scarf around, my hair can look vintagey.... decisions decisions.

I have decided to add my calories below in a different format, I have my standard 1650 calories, then I add my exercise calories to it, I try to use 50% of my exercise calories, if I go less than 50%, my weight seems to stall. For some reason my body does well, when I eat my standard calories and at least 50% or more of my exercise calories. As I am still avoiding wheat and sugar, these extra calories get used up with things like cheese, salami or fruit etc..... I use My Fitness Pal to keep track of my calories. 

So today with my exercise (swimming) calories, I can go up to 4021 but I aim to keep round the 2650 - 3000 calories, which some days is hard to do (it is hard to eat that amount)  I tend to have a big breakfast, then some fruit/cheese etc throughout the day and then a dinner. 

Sometimes I will have already added the dinner in, if I know the calories.

Pool done and dusted - today was hard for whatever reason, it took me 4 minutes longer to do 2k's. The first 20 lengths seem to go on forever. But I did it, and only had to lane share for 1 length lol, followed that up with aqua jogging.



Tomorrow is pool again.... and with the cold mornings, the water is so lovely and warm. I am so hoping my togs will last, they are starting to get a little big, I really don't want to have buy any before Aussie, if I can help. 

It is so bloody cold here, and I am sitting in the warm sun, if there is one thing I like about this house is the sun streams in most of the day in winter. 

After this weeks weigh in, we have 10 weeks till our holiday. And then we come back the following day it will be Spring yay :).

26th & 27th May 2018

Yesterday (Saturday), was an exercise free day, it was also a day where I don't count calories, I don't go overboard or anything, but just have a bit more of a relaxing day, this is working for me :).

Today I went to the gym this morning, and man my arms felt it....

Then came home had a shower, went out for brunch with David, had a burger and left 80% of the bread bun and had  a small lot of chips, the chips were a letdown :(, we also went to Davids parents grave and checked it was ok, as after the floods a month ago, some of the graves were collapsing, hers was fine but the one 2 graves up had a good sized sink hole. 

We then went for a drive around parts of Rotorua that got hit with the floods, there are still about 40 houses, by the looks of it, that have hazard/danger signs out the front. Really feel for these people as rentals are so hard to find round here, and builders are not exactly easy to find either right now.  

Tomorrow back to the pool, on the side bar ------> you can see what my weekly exercise plans are.

We have a long weekend here next weekend, my niece is getting married, will be nice to catch up with everyone. Seems we all only catch up with family, at a funeral or a wedding.

Gym done, and yes I could tell I had not been to the gym for a week, but I did enjoy it. 



My gym/pool membership was due to run out, next week, but I have committed to another 12 months, and I also get 3 months free when that is finished, so a bonus, I also got the combined membership for the pool as well. So in 15 months time, my goal will be to lose minimum another 35 Kilos which will take me so close to goal..... woohoo. 

Am not sure if I will have another gym day tomorrow or a day off, thinking a day off, to give my arms a rest day and then go back on Sunday, and then back to the pool Monday. 

Have also booked my hair colour/cut in for next week Wednesday, hmmmm wonder what I will get, or if I chicken out and stay blonde lol. You will have to wait and see :).

Another day, another swim, and did 2k's again today. It was bloody cold this morning, but it meant it was so relaxing in the hot pool and the spa was just bliss. Tomorrow is a gym day :).




They have attached to the spa, what they call the lazy river.




The little horseshoe shape in the middle is where you have the bubbles, but the outer pool has an under current, it is also for people to walk against the current, but I use it to float on my back and go around and around (if no one else is in there) lol. 

We have my niece's wedding next weekend, and its a long weekend yay. I am thinking of having a change from blonde to something like one of these colours, scary stuff, such a big change. I love the first photo and that style, cause it is long enough for me to style it for my vintage style outfits. I am going to see the hairdressers tomorrow and see if they can fit me in sometime next week.

Another pool swim done and today was my biggest yet..... I always feel so relaxed after my swim.




Weigh in this week comes with a 1 kilo loss, so week 4 and I have lost 4.25/12 Kilos, have 11 weigh ins to go, so need to lose on average 710grams a week :).

I have just been watching Gogglebox, (the english version), I find that programme so funny, if you get a chance to see it you need to watch it. I love that it is no swearing bleeped out and it is not to PC, like many other programmes these days.

Today I am going to relax for the rest of the day, as I have no clients, hence why I pushed myself further in the pool today.

OMG I loved the pool today, did the aqua jogging first as all the lanes were being used with swim school - but by the time I finished that, they had all left and I got a lane to myself for the whole time :)




It is bloody cold today and even though I left a little later for the pool this morning, it was still freezing and dare I say it, there was a little bit of a frost on the car this morning. 

Tomorrow is weigh in and feeling just a little confident, I will get my 750 gram loss (which is my weekly goal). And am at this stage confident I will reach my holiday goal. 

I found this shop in the Gold Coast, Aussie that sells awesome plus size swimming togs etc and they have some awesome ones for the pool (chlorine resistant), and am hoping and praying my ones I have now will last till then, cause bugga if I can find any in New Zealand this time of the year, I am going to get a couple of pairs, maybe even 3 of them, ones that will fit then and ones that will fit a couple of sizes smaller. 

Today only have one client this afternoon, really need to get myself motivated, sometimes it is so hard to get motivated when you have only 1 client in the day and they are coming early evening.

Pool Done today, loved it every minute of it again



Calories - I have been asked a few questions about my calories and how many I eat, the difference between active and total calories etc....

So here is some of the answers...
Active Calories are my calories I burn when exercising, or doing an activity in the exercise zone, Total Calories are exercise and resting calories totalled together, so the difference between the two are the resting calories  the ones that we use everyday just to stay alive, like breathing etc.....

So last Friday I did Active Calories off 2403, this included the swim and other bits throughout the day, which put me in the exercise zone, my Total Calories were 4847 this included the Active Calories of 2403 + Resting Calories off 2444.

Now food and how many calories I eat a day, my daily amount is 1650 calories, I add minimum 50% of my active calories (in the exercise session only), to my 1650, so that means my goal for Friday was 1650 calories + 50% of my Active Calories while in the pool 840.5 Calories so my aim for Friday was 2490 Calories for the day, I ended up having 376 calories left for the day, so had 2115 calories for the day. Most days I try to eat at least 50% of my Active Calories every day, as I find if I don't, I don't lose weight. This balance for now seems to be working out well, and when I get to a point where the scales are not moving, I will review it then. 

So today I have my 1650 Calories + 50% of my Active Calories at the pool, which is 827 which totals 2477, so my calories for the day are round the 2500 mark. 

Hope that helps for those slightly confused lol.

Whoops forgot to update yesterday, well actually didn't really forget, just didn't do much, and not doing much today either. Didn't go to the gym, as my achillies was playing up, but come tomorrow back at the pool again and planning to go Monday - Friday and then back to the gym Saturday and Sunday.

18th May 2018

Another session at the pool done, then came home did the housework and picked up the puppies from the groomers, so a busy day.

Loved the pool and did a big session, it doesn't even feel like exercise as I find it so relaxing, and the spa is such a nice reward after.



As the day went on, I started to get shivers and just feeling like crap, dozed of for a couple of hours and felt a bit better after this. Not sure what caused it, if I was just exhausted after the swim/housework etc, or maybe a side effect of coming of the pain meds..... have no idea, I am not sure if I will go to the gym tomorrow morning, will see how I feel. I have done 10 days straight with exercise, so may have a day off tomorrow, but will decide when I wake up, which by the way wont be early, I plan to have a sleep in. David is working tomorrow and gets up early, so I wont need to hear snoring, which means I might be able to sleep a little later :)

Today has been a good day, went to the gym ,did a smaller workout....

Met my physio there where she showed me some stretching exercises for my achillies, and we are cutting out the cardio that impacts the achillies, so my cardio will come from the pool and when at the gym the bike, elliptical and rower. Will stop doing the step ups and the lunges for now and mainly work on upper body. Also got some little wedges for in my shoe. 

Tomorrow I am back at the pool, then housework which has been sadly neglected this week, the puppies are going for their grooming tomorrow as well. So a cruise day tomorrow, have no nails as my Friday appointments got changed to today. 

Weekend nothing exciting planned, David is working on Saturday morning, I will go to the gym Saturday and Sunday, and may even go and check out K Mart which is now open in Rotorua, has been open for about 2 - 3 months and I still have not been lol, oh and I need to finish my tax return.....

Another session at the pool, cant believe how much I enjoy it, am going to miss not going tomorrow, but will go on Friday. Tomorrow I am meeting my physio at the gym.

Well what I am doing with my food seems to be successful as I lost 1.95 kilos this week, so 3.25 kilos in 3 weeks, 13 weeks till the holiday and I want to lose another 8.75 kilos.
Work has been so busy this week, not sure why everyone is wanting nails this week, but who am I to argue lol

Oh another bit of exciting news, the skirts I have previously talked about, are so close to fitting, I could even wear them now if I really wanted, but want to save them for the holiday, so by the time of the holiday, they will fit easy am so stoked :).

I really enjoyed the pool today, and my times are getting quicker slowly lol. I know longer care how I look in my togs, or what people think, never thought that day would come. I also didn't have to share my lane at all, so all in all it was a great swim, and the outside spa was nice and relaxing, I love the outdoor spa's :).



Tomorrow I am going to the pool again as my achillies feels so much better today :)

Oh and another thing, I think I have found the right combination when it comes to food, doing the calorie counting has really helped me stay more on track, as in eating more than less and the scales are showing that nicely. 

I have a busy week of nails this week, so that is good. I need to save my spending money for the holiday lol.

Another day, another gym session... Stats below :).



Went to the gym and my achillies is still playing up ggggrrrrrr, even when I didn't do the exercises that trigger it. I am due to see the physio on Thursday but am thinking I may need to swim more and gym less. May look at going to the pool, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and do the gym, Wednesday (if I want, normally my rest day), and Saturday and Sunday. But will know more after I have spoken to the physio.

I have decided to start calorie counting, my days are different amounts of calories, depending on what exercise I do, I do use some of my exercise points, otherwise I find I do not lose weight. I still avoid sugar and wheat, though I have added a little more higher carbs in food wise like fruit and veggies, in the past few weeks. Yesterday I had 480 calories left over for the day, I will add the daily amount I have left below with the calories I burn. Today I have 151 calories remaining. I am not sure how long I will calorie count for, maybe till I get bored of it lol. 

Weather has been crap today, wet and horrible, so after the gym, I got a few groceries and sent of a package and then vegged for the rest of the day, watching Coronation Street, we watch it the same time as England, and am loving it. They have had some serious storylines in there, with one being a male rape with being drugged, and last nights episode, is a suicide. 

Oh yeah, after being to the specialist on Wednesday, he has said I can continue to come of the pain meds, even with the higher blood pressure. So I am going to be coming of the last of the methadone over the next 15 weeks, hope to be off it, by the time we go on holiday :). 

Oh yeah a NSV, I have to move my seat in the car another slot closer to the steering wheel yay lol, also must do my measurements again at the ned of this month, I try and do them every 2 months :)

Today I went to the pool again, as my achillies is still playing up..... :(.

I could only do 8 minutes of aqua jogging after my lengths, cause the lights in the pool room went out, and the life guards, said they had difficulty seeing if anyone may need help. So stopped when we had to get out and had a soak in the nice hot spa.... decided after that, I was not going back into the colder pool.

As I was swimming in the lane, there was this leaf at the bottom of the pool, I kept thinking it looked like a poo, and after studying it for about 5 lengths every time I swam over it, I felt comfortable once I confirmed it was a leaf lol. And I had to share my lane for about half of my swim, have I mentioned how much I hate sharing lanes lol.

Tomorrow will try the gym again and avoid any of the exercises that may trigger the achillies off.

No post yesterday, went to a specialist appointment out of town, which was good and then went through to visit my dad.

Today is  normally a gym day, but due to my achillies still playing up, decided to go to the pool instead and loved it. The water was nice and warm compared to Monday and then I relaxed in the heated spa outside in the sun, it was bliss :). Am thinking tomorrow might be another pool day as well, and do the gym Saturday and then maybe try another walk Sunday if the achillies has settled a bit.

Today's stats:

Weigh in this week and gained 200 grams, that is what happens when you have a junk food weekend, I think I am lucky to get away with a 200 gram gain, think the exercise helped :).

Man it must be possum season, they have been so loud the last couple of nights, and they are right outside by the deck, in the huge trees.

Today was gym day, I am thinking I might do the pool both Thursday and Friday, as my achillies still played up, even though I stopped the exercise that caused it. So maybe a couple of days swimming might help it. So, will more than likely go to the pool Thursday and Friday, and then the gym again on Saturday and see how it goes. 
Tomorrow I am off to Tauranga, have a specialist appointment, and then we will go through and visit my dad. So there wont be any exercise tomorrow. Have I mentioned how addicted I am to exercise, if I don't go it just doesn't feel right lol. 

Anyway not much else to report, worked this afternoon, oh and finally got around to doing my own nails today, only been 4 weeks, since they were last done lol. 

Weigh in tomorrow, not expecting a loss at all, after the weekends binge, hopefully I will remember to weigh as we are leaving to go to the specialist early, if not then Thursday will be weigh day.

Bet you all thought I was n to going to post today, or I had stuffed up again - well sorry to disappoint but today has been good :)

Went to the pool, it was bloody freezing, not sure why, but the spa afterwards was fantastic, especially on my achillies. Anyway todays exercise stats are......

As you can see today was a huge day exercise wise.... nearly 2000 calories in the pool alone. I felt it today and had a mid afternoon snooze. 

Not a lot else to report, satay chicken kebab's for dinner, this is why I don't do strict keto, cause I wouldn't have been allowed the sauce,  but because I am doing 80 - 90% lower carb, this allows for the extras like that, and we had that with veggies and khmers chips :).

Tomorrow is gym day, suppose to be doing a testimonial if it works in with them.

Today I did a small walk, my achillies was playing up, and also my heal, because of my nerve issues, my heal also feels like it is numb (so I feel like my foot is slipping out from under me - hard to explain), hence why my walks are small, am in the process of building them up again. It is so frustrating...... but I really want to be able to walk a comfortable 3k's a couple of times a week before our trip :)


Food this weekend has been a disaster, consisting of having a pig out on chocolate and chips. Though I am pissed off with myself, I am not going to let it get to me to much as these days are few and far between. I have probably had a pig out 3 times max in the last 8 months.... compared to every day before lower carb. So I am not expecting a loss this week :(.

Pool tomorrow, looking forward to it....... will be good for my achillie, it always feel so good after a swim. 

Its funny how I thought I was strong enough to think I could  have the junk food in the house, well this weekend has proved that wrong and a lesson learnt, I cant have it in the house simple as that.....

Man cant believe yesterday I burnt over 5000 calories all day and 2229 calories were active.

Anyway onto today, went to the gym this morning, and loved it. On Tuesday we are going to take photos etc and am going to do a testimonial story......

Anyway todays gym stats are... (oh and did a full body workout :)). 

Today after the gym, we went and got our travel insurance and booked the rental car and have now confirmed our accommodation, so everything is all confirmed and ready and all we need to do is plan the days :).

I really cant believe how much I am enjoying the gym and exercise, and I think my CRPS is going into remission..... just quietly hopeful :).

Tomorrow all going to plan will be a walking exercise session. Need to get fit for the walks in Aussie, oh and the place we are staying in has a small and I mean small gym so hope to do some gym sessions maybe, or at least some pool swims as the pool looks lovely as well. :).

Today was a pool day, got there and had to rush my lengths, cause they're getting the pool ready for a water polo competition, starting this morning and going all weekend, so didn't have time to do my aqua jogging. Also the pool was a little chilly cause they had to lower the temp for water polo, plus it was like 4 degrees when I got up to go bbrrrrrrrrr.



This afternoon am doing a few nail clients, so may not be back on till later tonight or tomorrow, in fact one is due to arrive any minute.

Yesterday didn't end up too much, didn't go for a walk, after rearranging furniture, that was enough. 

Onto today, went to the gym this morning and loved it.... as usual. Tomorrow is hopefully the pool, I say hopefully cause we are having a frosty morning, and it might be a bit chilly, and I might chicken out lol



Just been out to lunch with Lee-Anne to Ciccio's, they now have a Keto menu and is becoming a popular choice for a lot of people. I didn't have keto, but did order a chicken tender burger with camembert cheese, and chips, ate the chips but left the bun and salad, cause I forgot to ask for it with no dressing and I cant stand a lot of dressings. So was semi low carb lol. I purchased some pork rinds for David to try tonight as well. 

Now for some exciting news, we are going to the Gold Coast again this year, we normally go every year about June/July, but last year we didn't go cause of puppy surgeries, which took our budget, we didn't expect to go again this year due to budget but David surprised me with the idea the other day. Tickets are all booked and we are going mid August, so something to look forward to and a goal for me to lose 12 Kilos in 15 weeks, well now only 10.5 Kilos in 15 weeks :). 

I have two skirts I purchased about 6 weeks ago now, I can do them up, but they are tight, so my goal is to be able to wear them and take them with me...... they are a full circle skirt, so I will need to purchase a couple of vintage style tops to go with them. I would so love to take my full circle petticoat, but it would take up half my suitcase lol.

And this is why I am now convinced lower carb is no longer viable for me, I lost 1.5 Kilos this week.

After the first 2 weeks of the month losing weight, eating slightly higher carb foods etc, when I did the final 2 weeks lower carb, I gained all the weight back, plus some. I went back to slightly higher carb foods last week and have come up with a loss of 1.5 kilos for the week :). 

So for this month I am going to stick with how I ate in the last week.

I have also reset my goal to lose 12 kilos over 15 weeks, as my surprise is now not happening till mid August, but that suits me fine, every kilo gone before then will just make it so much easier :). Hopefully once everything is confirmed I will be able to tell you all tomorrow what is happening, though some of you probably have already guessed lol. 

Today was going to be a walk day, and hoping it till will be, but this morning, I decided to shift furniture around, and now am paying for it a bit in the wrist, whoops and I have a client soon double whoops.
