Well where do I begin.......

Holiday:

The holiday was amazing, the weather perfect and it couldn't have been more relaxing. People ask us why we keep going back to the Gold Coast, we go because we love it and it is home away from home, the weather is perfect, the people are friendly, the petrol is cheap, and when we go, it feels just right. We still would like to visit Melbourne one day but that can wait. We now go and visit the less commercialised places and throughly enjoy finding new places to visit. There is so much to see and so much to do there, and there is so much more we want to see.

Our next holiday is semi planned already, and yes back to the Gold Coast for 3 weeks in about June/July next year. After this holiday, we are seriously going to consider moving there, once my father goes, for now I want to be nearer to him, then there is nothing else keeping us here really. Yes the kids are here in NZ, but lets face it Aussie is just a skip and jump, (ok a 3 hour flight), from New Zealand, and with FaceTime etc, we can still keep in touch. And the kids will be doing their own thing...... We spoke to a a few people in regards to purchasing apartments over there and the extra costs etc, in reality, though an apartment would be nice, we do feel a house would be better, we wont get the views but hey if we are within a 10 minute drive from the beach I will be happy. We are also thinking a nice bigger 2 bedroom house would be nice or maybe a 3 bedroom, in the meantime, we will start looking at whats available and what cost, and also what we need to do for jobs etc. Though from what I have read it seems pretty simple but before we do the big move we want to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's dotted. Super is a different story as in Aussie it is asset/savings tested, whereas in New Zealand it doesn't matter what income/assets you have, but we have a few years before we need to worry about that, but agin that will all depend on when dad goes. It may sound morbid saying that we are waiting for dad to go, but hey he is old and people die as they get older, and it will be nice to know everything we need to know before hand so when the time comes we are all prepared and educated and can just move. If I am still enjoying nails, that would be something I would consider doing over there.

OMG clothes are dirt cheap over there for just casual stuff, like T-Shirts $4.00, they will be excellent for the gym and if they only last 3 months for that price who cares, long sleeved T-Shirst only $3.00, I managed to get some cheap workout pants (legit workout pants lol), for $10 in sale. I did purchase a few really nice dresses, some more converse shoes, some jewellery, makeup and think thats about all. Will put some videos up of the things we did over the next week or two.

Food wise over there, I didn't track or even think about what I was eating, I did eat Krsipy Creme donuts (which I had been looking forward to for months, we dont have them in Rotorua), but was disappointeddidn't really enjoy it as much this time round. In fact I found most of the sweet stuff I tried I no longer enjoyed really. Exercise at the apartment gym  - was a utter disaster, I didnt do anything at the gym and only did 1 swim. But we did do some walking etc, though my achilles played havoc with my walking, I say achilles but it could also be chronic pain, but whatever it is, it put a damper on things. I need to get it sorted before the next holiday, due to see the doctor this Friday. The saddest thing was that I could not even walk in the sand to the water, it was just to painful and it had me in tears a few times. I managed to gain 650 grams over the two weeks, so must admit, I was pretty stoked it was only that, as I really had no idea how I had gone.

Food over there is so cheap, hell strawberries were only $1 a chip and OMG they were delicious and passionfruit was just to die for, so tasty unlike what we get here. If you shop around, makeup and chemist products are so so cheap.... petrol is about 80 cents cheaper a litre.

Now onto the here and now....

Exercise and Food:

Starting back at the gym and Weight Watchers tomorrow. We have approx 45 weeks till our next holiday, yes I am already counting down the weeks/days and I really want to lose minimum 30 kilos by then. I am really going to focus on my food as that is what is letting me down a lot, the gym will be 5 days a week. As Spring is now here, hopefully the weather will be warmer soon, it was nice to have 2 days of sunshine when we got back but today it is raining, so water will be easier to drink soon, but again in the meantime, it is another thing I will need to work on.

Nails:

I need to get my motivation back for nails, with all the crap weather we had over the previous weeks before the holiday, I got in a real downer. But again hopefully with the better weather we hope to have soon, the motivation will return, and if nothing else, I need to use this time, to practice and educate myself as much as I can, so I can have an option of doing nails when we move.

Anyway think thats about it for now, here are just some photos of the holiday, videos will come soon (most of it was vidoes). First of the handbags I got and the wallet.

Of course a koala has to be in the photos :)

The Spit

Just a few photos, I have mainly videos which I will edit this week sometime. Oh and I am thinking I might look at doing more vlogging rather than blogging, once I get myself organised. If I do, I will upload the following day, so if I vlog tomorrow, that will be updated on the Tuesday...... I might even do that with blogging as well. So there may not be a post tomorrow :).

Anyway enough waffling for now :)

  1. Great photos, I'm glad you had a good time! I totally understand why you like the Gold Coast. If we go back we might try up north a little - last time we stayed in Coolangatta and loved that it was less busy. I like you hair blonde too - it really suits you and while I know you love colour, that blonde tone suits you and your skin tone :)
