FRIDAY - DAY 33:
Today the scales are up a whole 50 grams, looks like I will not make my goal for September, but you know what, I am not too worried, the more I stress, the worse I will eat, I am down just over 5 kilos, which is better than being up.... small baby steps. I have stuffed up on the odd days, but have been able to get back on track....
I ordered the Quest bars, expecting the first lot to turn up today, but somehow they have ended up in Blenheim, so now both lots will turn up on Monday.
I dont have a flash car with bluetooth and all the bells and whistles (one day), so I ordered one of the handsfree phone kits, I got the Jabra Freeway, I was going to get the cheaper one, the 'Jabra Drive' but decided after lots of research, it will be better to spend some extra money and get the next one up the 'Jabra Freeway', also I only have a Jap import radio, this one has a FM transmitter, though I have know idea how it works yet or of it will work on my car, but all I want is to play Spotify anyway. I am hoping this one that streams music will have a decent sound. This one is also fully voice activated....
I went to Kmart today, we have had it here for a year or maybe 2 years and I have only been three times, I didn't realise how cheap some of the stuff is, I needed some plastic containers for my trolley in the nail room and they were only $4.00 each lol. Everywhere else they were heaps more for a similar thing.
Steph and Chris and their dad have had an awesome time in Fiji, they have been diving a shipwreck, diving with the sharks and turtles, this morning they did some snorkelling with the Mantra Rays, they have been staying on a sail boat but are going back to Nadi today and fly home Sunday night. Their birthday is tomorrow they are turning 24, bloody hell.....

Day 32....
Todays weigh in is 550 grams down from yesterday.... the 100 day weigh in challenge is working really well for me, I am sure I would have blown it, if I didn't have to weigh in each day and keep accountable.
Tonight for dinner we are having Keto Mushroom and Cheese Frittata, instead of the Lemon Chicken Drumsticks, the Bacon Covered Meatloaf I made last night was so so yummy, and will be having it for lunch today :).
My second Uncle passed away yesterday, two in 10 days..... even though they live in Holland, I have met them and one came to stay here in New Zealand on a holiday a few years ago. One was form mums side, and the other from dad's side.
Today is another cold day, only 9 degrees and a high of 11 degrees bbbbbrrrrrrr.
'Feed my Furbaby' is offering a trial pack of high protein and grain free dog food for $1.00. I ordered it yesterday and got it today, Rusty wasn't sure to begin with but then decided it was quite nice. He gets a mixture of raw food and Eukanuba, when that runs out, might change him over to this.....
Also another deal if you like Quest Bars, this site 'Sprint Fit', have buy a box of Quest Bars get one free, yesterday they had buy one and get the Mint for free, today they have buy one, get the Peanut Butter one for free, so I have four boxes coming lol - I hope I like them, I have never tried them but a lot of people rave about them..... they will be good when I want a snack, or after the gym when I start back.... might see what tomorrows deal is and get another two. If I dont like them, I can always just put them in the nail room for clients :). I am not sure how long the special is on for....
Have just finished watching "Working Moms" on Netflix, now I have to wait for Series 4, am still trying to get through '13 Reasons Why"......
Oh and loving the new camera on the iPhone 11 Pro Max..... cant wait till I can use it on nail photos.

Day 30 & 31....
TUESDAY - DAY 30:
Today food was back on track, though I am struggling.... nothing much happened, just feeling down still.
Scales were well up on todays weigh in, 650 grams - the weekend binge caught up with me, let's hope that now I am back on track they will start coming down again.
WEDNESDAY - DAY 31:
Today the scales went down a whole 50 grams, at least they were down....
Went to the supermarket and got a whole lot of food to cook low carb again, I was so tempted to buy junk food, but I didn't. Tonight we are having a meatloaf, similar to the one made a week or so ago.
This is the weeks meals:
Tuesday: Egg Salad and Chicken Drumsticks
Wednesday: Bacon Covered meatloaf
Thursday: Lemon Chicken Drumsticks
Friday: Butter Chicken
Saturday: Keto Mushroom and Cheese Frittata or Keto Chicken Garam Masala
Yip a lot of chicken this week, just worked out that way, also not sure what veges, will decide on the night :).

Day 28 & 29
SUNDAY - DAY 28:
Yesterday I ate like a pig.... the scales show it today, gained 500 grams since yesterday, might even have a gain this week with official weigh in tomorrow. Am really going to try and stay on track today.
Have joined a 12 week weight-loss challenge, my goal is to lose 6 Kilos in that 12 weeks. It starts tomorrow so its good it starts on my offical weigh in day.
I used the excuse of someone else's bad news to eat, yip an excuse in reality I wanted a binge day, so felt that was a good excuse... anyway thats in the past.
Went to the Gypsy Fair in Rotorua, it seemed a little bigger than last year, but nothing like it used to be. We then out for coffee to 'The White Rabbit', it was such a cool place, they have keto foods as well, but not sure what, as we were not there for a meal.
Am loving the new camera on the iPhone, still working it all out, but it seems pretty cool - who needs a camera nowadays :).
MONDAY - DAY 29:
Phew came in with a loss this week, down 250 grams from yesterday and also a 250 gram loss for the week, I am happy with that considering the week has been up and down.
Yesterday was such a lovely day, today the weather is packing up and it is suppose to rain for the rest of the week.
Not much is happening here today so will post this now...

Day 26 & 27.....
FRIDAY - DAY 26:
Todays weigh in was a gain of 700 grams....., hopefully just a glitch :).
iPhone arrived today and it is so nice to have the bigger screen again, and the camera is amazing, will be perfect for when I start back at work for nail photos :).
And that was my day :)
SATURDAY - DAY 27:
Todays weigh in was a loss of 725 grams, so the gain yesterday has gone and a little more, I am glad I am not stressing over the scales, for whatever reason this time, prob because I know 95% of the time I am on track :).
Am going to sign off now, just had a crappy phone-call and not in the mood for today anymore.....

Day 24 & 25...
WEDNESDAY - DAY 24
Day 24 and todays weigh in is 300 grams down from yesterday.....
Yip as you can tell didn't do much yesterday....
THURSDAY - DAY 25
Today's weigh in is the same as yesterday....
Last night we had hamburgers, but I succumbed and had a real bread burger bun, the last couple of breads I have made low carb, I just couldn't handle it and really upset my stomach, TMI - but I needed to keep going loo, the only link I could find was the Almond Flour that was triggering it off, I am now put off anything with Almond Flour, I might try it in a week or so again, but anyway back to the bun, I dont regret it and hell I could do a lot worse than that.
Had my hand therapist appointment, not a lot has changed, and we are looking at prob early next year before I can look at going back to work, might be able to do some part time clients later in the year, but basically before I can even think about work, I need to be able to do most normal things with that hand..... without the splint. I am beyond getting angry or upset over it, and just have to pray we dont need another surgery after this.
Hopefully my new phone will arrive tomorrow, thats something to look forward too.......
Anyway going to sign of now, dinner tonight is Tandori chicken with mushrooms done in bacon etc....

Day 22 & 23.......
MONDAY - DAY 22:
Week 3 official weigh in and lost 900 grams, am happy with that, and 300 grams down from yesterday and 5.2 Kilos in 3 weeks - cant complain about that, need to lose 900 grams to get to the next decade below, goal is to be there at the end of the month. I dont really have any set goals weight wise, would just like to average 1.5 - 2 kilos a month, so this time next year will be about 20 - 25 kilos lighter.
The new iPhone is coming out on Friday, well all going to plan it should arrive in my hot little hands on Friday. Yes I did order it, I got the bigger phone again, I swapped to the smaller one 2 years ago and hated it from day 1 and regretted not purchasing the big one. So I got the iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB - Midnight Green. I love new gadgets lol.
Yip forgot to post again.... so here is

Day 23 weigh in and down 200 grams from yesterday - 5.4 kilos in total, bit by bit it is coming off.....
My carb count seems to average about 30 - 50 grams of net carbs a day, this seems to be working well.
Yesterday heard from my cousin that my uncle in Holland passed away suddenly, I last saw him when he came to new Zealand 5 years ago and met him when I was in Holland. Also another uncle is in hospice and in his last few day/weeks. One is from my dads side and the one in hospice is on my mums side. I do love Facebook and the internet that we are able to keep in touch with relatives, it brings us all closer and we dont seem so far away.
Anyway going to post this now, as nothing else will be happening today, it is a Netflix day I think, still watching '13 Reasons Why' and also watching 'Diagnosis' :).

Day 20 & 21...
Saturday - Day 20:
Todays weigh in up 200 grams... nothing much else to report, didn't do anything and thats why I didn't post today. Oh but the Low Carb beef Stroganoff I made in the crockpot was really nice, enough for dinner tomorrow night :)
Sunday - Day 21:
Todays weigh in down 100 grams - tomorrow will be Week three official weigh in, this week has been up and down with the scales, but should still be a loss unless something drastic happens between now and tomorrow morning :)
Today we went to 'Ciccio Cafe' in Rotorua, they have many keto foods, the chef lost lots of weight doing Keto and now she offers a lot of 'keto snacks/meals' in the restaurant as well as non-keto foods :). We went there for a coffee and a keto donut.... it was really nice, I had a Keto Butterscotch Rum Stracciatella Donut NC 3.8g. P 13g. F 50.6g and David had a Keto Double Choc Raspberry Donut NC 4g. P 13g. F 46.1g. They were so filling :)
Tonights dinner is last night left overs... Steph is coming down today and dropping her rabbit off, we are looking after him while she goes on holiday to Fiji next weekend for a week, she is going with her dad, and Chris, and they are spending a week on a boat doing diving etc..... She just got her diving certificate a few days ago, she had to get it to go diving of the boat, (they sleep on it as well) - Chris and her dad have had their certificate for a few years. She will be here for a couple of days then coming back here early October to pick the rabbit up.

Day 18 & 19....
DAY 18:
Day 18 and down another 150 grams from yesterday, so back down into virgin territory for this weight-loss attempt, and hopefully this last attempt :)
I succumbed, today I had a donut, an add came up on my Facebook page from a local bakery that does this amazing donuts, I mentioned it to David (who is home today) and he said you want me to get you one, and of course I said yes..... and guess what I didn't even enjoy it, but that didn't stop me eating it all - not going to dwell on it, I did it, and moving on like I never had it.
For lunch we had some of the meatloaf that was left over, I think it was nicer the next day.
Guess what is coming out on the 20th, but pre-ordering starts at midnight tomorrow night (14th)...

DAY 19:
Todays weigh in is a loss of 300 grams .....so exactly 5 kilos in total in 19 days. I need to lose 1.1 kilo to be in the next decade down (does that make sense lol), anyway by the end of the month, which should happen unless I do something really stupid. Having said this, this is not a race, I would like to lose around the 500 grams a week on average.

Day 17....
Day 17 and the scales have gone down, see I didn't stress, just went with the flow and knew they would come back down again lol..... anyway lost 450 grams from yesterdays weigh in, so back down to where I was 3 days ago :).
I so want this weather to warm up.... yeah I know I mention it everyday, but I really dont have much else to talk about :)
Am about to make the Low Carb Meatloaf for dinner. Am thinking of cooking it in the air-fryer... last night I did the Tandori Chicken in the air-fryer, first time I have ever baked in it, it turned out really nice. Will take a photo of the meatloaf if I remember :)
Last night Sephora started there 20% of sale for Gold members, I waited to midnight so I could grab a couple of things, I grabbed this eye shadow pallet from "Anastasia Beverly Hills" and this "Beauty Blender", arn't they beautiful :)
Black members I think can access the sale tonight and get 20% off and White members get 15% off starting at midnight tonight.
Now I just need to get motivated to do make-up again.....
Lunch today is left over Chicken Tandori and Mushrooms and Bacon I cooked up yesterday :).
My glucose levels are just about back to normal yay, and my sleep pattern is getting better most nights I am in bed by midnight, sometimes around 11 - 11.30ish and feeling heaps better, waking up around the 8am mark :).
Am really starting to feel so much better, have heaps more energy that what I have had for weeks, am able to do more around the house without having to takes breaks in-between.
Dinner before and after, and yes I cut a corner out to taste it and it is so yummy..... and it will be lovely cold as well :).

Day 16.....
Day 16 and a 200 gram gain.... not stressing over it, am in this for the long haul, and there are going to be a lot of ups and downs in this journey.
Dinner tonight is Tandori Chicken, the chicken is marinating on the Tandori Paste and Yogurt, getting ready to be put in the air-fryer tonight :).
This morning, I had a play with the new acrylic powder that Magpie Beauty have just brought out. I only managed to do my thumb nail as my hand got sore trying to twist it a bit, to make it easier to do. But all in all I was happy with the outcome, I have not done acrylic nails in nearly two years (I think), but this product is so much easier to use, so might start offering it again, filing was a little tricky, so its not perfect due to not having much movement in that hand yet. Might do one each day, so will have one hand done, but not the other hand lol.
Another bloody cold day here today, it is nine degrees and I have all the curtains shut and the heater on, come on Spring, tomorrow is suppose to be sunny yay :)

But all in all I was happy with the outcome, I have not done acrylic nails in nearly two years (I think), but this product is so much easier to use, so might start offering it again, filing was a little tricky, so its not perfect due to not having much movement in that hand yet. Might do one each day, so will have one hand done, but not the other hand lol.
Another bloody cold day here today, it is nine degrees and I have all the curtains shut and the heater on, come on Spring, tomorrow is suppose to be sunny yay :)
My god I have missed not having our holiday to Aussie this year, hope we can get away next year.
Just cooked the mushrooms done in bacon/onion and sauce to go with the Tandori chicken. I try and prep/do as much as possible in the mornings/early afternoon while my wrist is not at its worst, come about 3pm, it gets pretty sore.
Anyway going to post this now, cause otherwise I will forget...

Day 14 & 15....
SUNDAY:
Day 14 and todays weigh in is a gain of 150 grams...... so 4.4 Kilos down in 14 days, Week 2 official weigh in is tomorrow. The 100 days of weigh in, is actually helping to keep me on track :).
Went to the supermarket today, and it was so cold and wet, we decided to have KFC for lunch, as we had not had any breakfast. My god it was nice..... especially when it was so cold.
Its suppose to be Spring and still the weather is bloody cold, and tomorrow and Tuesday is only going to get a high of 9 degrees....bbbbrrrrrrr.
This morning I planned out most of next weeks meal plan...
Monday - Bun-less or Low Carb Buns burgers
Tuesday - Low CarbTandoori Chicken
Wednesday - Low Carb Meatloaf
Thursday - Low Carb Chicken Wings
Friday - Takeouts
Saturday - Slow Cooker beef Strogonoff

Tonight New Zealand starts another series of Married at First Sight, I dont want to watch it, cause I will get addicted, its utter crap but then again I dont have much else happening in my life.
MONDAY:
Weigh in today for Day 15 is a gain of 100 grams (the KFC maybe lol), anyway week 2 official weigh in is a loss of 1.5 Kilos and a total loss of 4.3 Kilos.
It is raining again today and bloody cold... currently 8 degrees and a high of 9 degrees bbbbrrrrrrrr.
Need to focus on water and walks this week... but not today.
Tonights dinner is bun-less or low carb bun hamburgers, so nice and easy :).
Its nearly 12pm so might go and make me some breakfast/lunch, not sure what I am having - might be bacon and eggs on this chilly day :)

Day 13.....
Day 13/100 weigh in is down 350 grams from yesterday and 4.55 kilos down in 13 days.
I am not going to lie, I am really struggling with keeping on track, but I am doing it, just trying to focus on one hour at a time, now that I am allowed to drive short distances, I know I can go out and get food..... didn't make the butter chicken last night, it is currently in the crockpot as I write this. That way dinner will be ready at dinner time, and I wont be tempted to eat crap food. I made the rice last night and is in the fridge keeping cold, all ready to have with it.
No water again yesterday... maybe today, the sun is out but its cold out there. I was going to put makeup on today but couldn't be bothered, though I did actually dress in a nice skirt and the new top I got from K&K the other day (picture in day 9).
I want to change furniture around, but I can't - I hate not being able to do much, I hate it so much.......
Blood glucose levels are coming down - hopefully they dont jump back up again. Dinner was really nice... no photos again today.

Day 11 & 12
Thursday
I am feeling really down right now, I keep hearing the specialist/surgeon's words, saying that I have the most extreme damage of tendons that could possibly be and that recovery is not like a standard tendon rupture repair.... He has never seen so much damage in a hand before, and he is a hand specialist that has done extensive training and work over seas as well as New Zealand. Under normal circumstances, I would more than likely be starting back at nails part time in the next week or so. Also this rain doesn't help, and things are a bit stressed on the home-front.
It's hard seeing my regular clients that have been with me for years, going somewhere else, I am not even sure if they will come back.
Weigh in today was 200 grams down from yesterday..... as for my blood sugars, it can take 3 weeks or even longer for my sugars to lower, so not going to stress too much right now, I will check them daily and if in another 2 or so weeks, nothing has really changed then back to the doctor.
Managed to drink my litre of water yesterday, now need to do it again today. Dinner tonight is homemade fish and chips, tomorrow night am going to make a low carb butter chicken in the crockpot.
Have my hand therapist today, can drive myself, be nice to have some independence.

Day 10...
Day 10 and gained 500 grams from yesterday, yip had a high carb day with takeaways, but it's ok, am back on track today. Yesterday I struggled with the news that I wont be doing nails for another two months.
Today I am going to drive to the supermarket, a walk prob wont be happening, as it is wet and cold outside.
Had a shower this morning, first one in six weeks without having to wear a splint and plastic bag over it. I must admit by the end of it, the hand/wrist was getting pretty sore.
Drove to the supermarket (2k's there and 2k's back), it was a little sore by the time I got home (Oh and I still have to wear the splint). Tomorrow I will drive to the hand therapist that is 3k's away :).
Dinner tonight is schnitzel stuffed with ham and cheese, and am doing a curried egg salad, and not sure what veges. Forgot the photo, but it all turned out nice.
Anyway better get this up before midnight strikes

Day 9
Todays weigh in - 1*2.4 kilos, a loss of 800 grams since yesterday, cant wait till I get in the next lower middle digit :).
Made the Scotch Eggs yesterday, the recipe said 6, I could only make 4 with the pork mince as I couldn't properly spread the mince out with only 1 hand, but they still turned out nice. Cant wait till I can use two hands properly again.
I am about to head out the door to my surgeon/specialist appointment, wish me luck....
Ok back from specialist now, and am allowed to drive very small distances like 5kms max..... am also allowed to take my splint off for small periods of time, but if my hand starts getting sore, or my fingers droop more than now I need to put it back on full time for a bit again and try a week later. He has given me a medical certificate till the end of October..... so no nails till then :(. I still have to wear it at night for at least another 6 weeks. I go back to see the specialist in 6 weeks.
After that we went and had lunch at Bayfair, have not been there for ages, didn't really enjoy it as my arm was quite sore, probably should have had it in a sling when out and about, did go to 'K&K Fashion' and David purchased this top for me.... it is a lot brighter in real life :).

Day 8 and Official Week 1 Weigh In....
Day 8 and lost 700 grams from yesterdays weigh in, and official Week 1 weigh in - lost 2.8 Kilos, am happy with that :).
Only walked 3 times last week, going to aim for more this week.....today I did 11.46 minutes, creeping up bit by bit :)
I am struggling a bit, I really thought after 6 weeks I would be further along after my surgery, I still cant move my middle finger up, and my ring finger hardly moves as well. Cant wait till I see the surgeon tomorrow, hopefully he can reassure me, and that I have not damaged any of the repaired tendons and they still need time to heal.
Oh forgot to take a pic of the dinner, but here are the left over meatballs, they were really yummy in that sauce. David took some for lunch today and I also will have some today (they tasted much nicer than they looked in this pic). :)
Tonights dinner is chicken breast with garlic/herb butter, so nice and easy in the air-fryer and also am thinking I might make some keto scotch eggs today, if I have the ingredients. Be good for David's lunch as well as mine :). Right now I am trying to keep things exciting.
This week I am going to try and focus on drinking 1 litre of water a day..... done

Day 7 and First Day of Spring :)
Day 7 weigh in and we have a gain of 50 grams..... so a 2.1 kilo loss to date, oh and my glucose readings were quite a bit down today, in fact just about close to being in the normal range :).
Sleep pattern - not sure when I last updated my sleep pattern....

Last night we had chicken wrapped in bacon, I was going to make it myself but they only had chicken breast at the local supermarket and really couldn't be bothered making it, when I saw already made ones in the butchery compartment, I asked what was in them and he said chicken thigh wrapped in bacon, because they were the right way up, when he put them in the tray I didn't see the stuffing in them, whoops - anyway I cooked them in the air-fryer and they turned out delicious, the mushrooms so were nice as well. In fact I am having the rest for breakfast, oh and yes I did eat the stuffing :).

Yesterday I said going low carb is more expensive, I say that cause meals cost more, like this meal with everything came to just under $20.00 with mushrooms/bacon etc.... in the past we may have had a supermarket pizza/pie or sausages and potatoes and peas for $10.00 (this is just a basic example), also snacks consist of salami/cheese.... low carb crackers are $6.00 for half the size of normal crackers and triple the price. Before low carb, it would be chip/lollies/normal crackers etc.... yes it is the wrong foods but thats the reality thats the food that got me to that big. At the moment, when I only have one hand, it is pretty hard to cook from scratch, Almond/Coconut flour is also double the price if not more than normal flour....last night I cooked the mushrooms with one hand, and just things like cutting up the mushrooms and bacon takes so much work. Using cream in sauces's is more expensive than just a normal gravy. Keto/Low Carb bread is round the $9.00 a loaf rather than a normal loaf for about $3.00. Yes in time I will start eating less, once I lose more weight, but for now, right now it is more expensive to eat this way :)
Speaking of food, for dinner tonight, we are having 'Keto Hamburger Patties with Creamy Tomato Sauce', we wont have cabbage though with it, not sure what we might have, am feeling like some fries so might have some french fries with it - (I am not doing keto remember), I am ok about having french fries once a week/fortnight or so...... I will have to remove the splint to make the patties.
Anyway another beautiful day out there today and it is 16 degrees, our warmest day since I dont know when...., might drag all the cushions out on the chairs and relax outside for a bit today. Better make the most of the weather as it is suppose to rain all of next week :(.
